ISED has published Radio requirements standard for 6 GHz technologies

Innovation, Science, and Economic Development Canada (ISED) has published the highly anticipated Final Radio requirements standard, RSS-248 Issue 1, for 6 GHz technologies today. The release of this standard supports the implementation of ISED's 6 GHz framework and enables innovation.
- 无线电标准规范RSS-248, Issue 1, Radio Local Area Network (RLAN) Devices Operating in the 5925-7125 MHz Bandwhich sets out the certification requirements for license-exempt, RLAN devices operating indoors in the 5925-7125 MHz frequency band.
This compliance procedure describes the technical requirements and processes to be followed when demonstrating compliance with specific absorption rate (SAR) limits and absorbed power density (APD) limits for portable devices operating in the 6 GHz band (for example, RLAN device in the 5925-7125 MHz band) that are subject to RSS-248, newly published.
The draft document along with the form to provide comments will be available onthe Radio Advisory Board of Canada (RABC) website. The consultation will close on January 31, 2022.
